about

This is a suite that I wrote pretty early in pre-production on this episode, and it includes both of Jackson Lake's themes presented in full. This is the only piece in this episode to feature Latin lyrics alongside English ones, and the prior relate directly to what's happening in the scene.

lyrics

[Latin - The Next Doctor's Theme]

In memoria amissa, de novo te ipsum invenies
(in the loss of memory, find yourself anew)

[Latin - The Will to Survive I]

Aspice caelum et vide vocationem tuam
(Look to the sky and see your destiny calling)
Filius tuus est, causa tua est. Ducite eum domum.
(He is your son, your reason to be. Bring him home.)

[English - The Will to Survive II]

Now and again, if you try your hardest,
fate will be kind and it will reward you.
Deep in the will to survive, there's reason,
let it pull you to the end.
