I view my body of work as a whole very subjectively; if I have a piece called something, I'll go out of my way to avoid having another one with the same name. Hence, I don't call this "The Final Confrontation" lightly. I see this piece as my greatest accomplishment done not just for this episode, but for the entirety of my "Doctor Who Rescored" project thus far.
This piece is 7.5 minutes long, requires 32 GB of memory to even load (due mostly to the choir), and features more complicated orchestration than anything I've ever done before. We start with the Cyberking theme again, but now with lyrics performed by the choir that indicate the sheer gravity of the showdown. The Will to Survive makes a couple of brief appearances, but the entire thing boils down to the Cybermen and Tenth Doctor themes, and it plays out like a battle between the two themes. Who will come out on top?
